Meet Joy Ayokha, MEd, CCC-SLP
Medical Speech Language Pathologist
Joy is the Lead Speech-Language Pathologist and Founder of Dysphagy, Ltd. With over 25 years of experience, Joy has worked with adults and the elderly in various settings including skilled nursing facilities, assisted
​living facilities, independent living facilities, private practice, outpatient therapy, and home health.
​
While she has provided treatment for several
different illnesses, her special interest is in adult and geriatric swallowing disorders (dysphagia).
​
Joy earned her Bachelor of Arts at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She earned her Master of Education in Communication Disorders at North Carolina Central University.
​
Joy is licensed to practice speech pathology in the state of North Carolina and holds the certificate of clinical competence (CCC) in speech language pathology awarded by the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA).
​
Joy is also a certified and registered Vital Stim Provider and a certified holistic health coach.
